Refund & Returns Policy
Used Engines Inc sells used, pre-owned automotive components, including engines, transmissions, and
related auto parts.
Due to the nature of these products:
- All refunds and returns are strictly conditional & require approval.
- Placing an order confirms that the customer has read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
- No exceptions will be made outside these rules.
2. Return Authorization (Mandatory)
- All returns require prior approval from Used Engines Inc.
- Returns without authorization will be refused.

3. Eligible Returns
Returns may be approved only in the following cases:
- Incorrect product shipped by Used Engines Inc.
- Damage during transit (reported within 48 hours of delivery).
- Warranty-approved mechanical failure as per the Warranty Policy.
- Each request is reviewed individually.
- Customers may need to provide photos, videos, or supporting documents.
4. Non-Returnable Items
- Products that have been altered, modified, dismantled, or repaired.
- Items returned without original packaging or documentation.
- Orders delayed due to incorrect or incomplete customer-provided information.
- Special-order items or items held with a deposit.
- Electrical or electronic components.
5. Appearance & Inspection
- Used engines may show signs of wear (rust, scratches, discoloration, oil stains).
- Performance is guaranteed; appearance is not.
- Customers must inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery.
- Refusing delivery due to appearance results in a 20% restocking fee + shipping both ways.
6. Order Cancellations
- Within 24 hours: No cancellation fees.
- After 24 hours: 20% restocking fee.
- After shipment/preparation: 20% restocking fee + shipping charges both ways.
7. Warranty Returns & Replacements
- Shipping is covered only for approved warranty claims.
- Refusing an approved replacement is treated as voluntary cancellation → 20% restocking + shipping.
8. Customer Errors & VIN/Compatibility Issues
- Used Engines Inc verifies compatibility using a VIN-based system.
- Customers must provide accurate vehicle information.
If incorrect information is provided:
- Customer pays any price difference.
- Customer pays two-way shipping charges.
- Refusal of replacement → 20% restocking fee.
9. Core Returns & Deposits
- Certain engines/transmissions require a core deposit.
- Deposit refund only if core is returned complete, undamaged, and on time.
- Refusal of replacement → 20% restocking fee.
10. Non-Refundable Deposits
- Inventory hold deposits.
- Special-order deposits.
- These deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
11. Refund Processing
- Refunds issued only to original payment method.
- Processing takes 5–7 business days after approval.
- Bank/Credit Card may take additional 5–10 business days.
12. Shipping & Transaction Fees
- Shipping is non-refundable unless the return is a company error.
- Return instructions must be followed exactly.
- Processing and payment fees are non-refundable unless Used Engines Inc is at fault.
13. Limitation of Liability
- Labor/installation charges.
- Towing or transportation costs.
- Rental vehicles.
- Downtime or lost income.

14. Customer Responsibilities
- Verify compatibility before purchasing.
- Provide accurate vehicle details.
- Keep all installation & diagnostic documents.
- Report issues within timelines.
